Our tour with Giulio was wonderful. He was very good at advising both the best angles, places to take shots and the appropriate settings for my camera. As a very inexperienced photographer, I learnt a lot. The tour also offered a wealth of interesting information about Rome's history. We visited both well known sites and some lesser known gems. My husband, a non photographer, came on the tour and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Highly recommended.

Hello Maggie, First of all, I must apologize for replying to you only now, but on November 11th, two days before you wrote your review, I had hip replacement surgery, and I got back to my routine only two days ago, including having the right mind and concentration to sit at the computer. Secondly, I want to sincerely thank you for the very kind words you spent about me and my tour in your very much appreciated five-star feedback. I hope that you are fully satisfied with the photos you took during the tour and that they represent a beautiful memory of Rome in your mind and photo album. I look forward to seeing you again in my beautiful town, whenever you will decide to come back. As I told you during our walk if you should ever come back to Italy, by yourself or with a couple of friends also interested in photography, be aware that from February 2024, I will start offering multi-day tours, in Rome and Latium, Umbria, Tuscany, and Apulia, four amazing and very photogenic regions in the center and south Italy. These tours will be fully customized holistic multiday journeys, tailored around your wishes, and time availability. If you should be interested in them, I would be more than happy to discuss the different options and itineraries together. In the meantime, thanks again for your wonderful 5-star review. Best regards, Giulio

The best time we have ever had on a tour, bar none. We were a group of four, but only one actively participating in the photography instruction part of the tour. Giulio made it fun, exciting and great for all four us. His pre-tour communications by email made the whole process seamless. He delivered a perfect blend of history and anecdotes about each landmark visited. His talent as a photographer is only surpassed by his charm, humor and amazing spirt with which he conducts his tour. If you are lucky enough to secure a tour with him, go for it! Highly recommended. We will be booking again next time in Rome.

Dear Elsa, Sorry for the late reply, but I saw your wonderful review only now. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the amazing words of appreciation you spent for the tour itself and for my skills as a photographer, tour guide, and, even more importantly, as a human being. As I might have made your day and that one of your friends, with your five-star review, you surely made mine :-) I look forward to seeing you again in Rome, but also keep in mind what I told you during our photo walk: if you should ever come back to Italy, by yourself or with a couple of friends also interested in photography, be aware that from December this year, I will start offering multi-day tours, in Rome and Latium, Umbria, Tuscany, and Apulia, four amazing and very photogenic regions in the center and south Italy. These tours will be fully customized holistic multiday journeys, tailored around your wishes, and time availability. If you should be interested in them, I would be more than happy to discuss the different options and itineraries together. I look forward to seeing you again, and I wish you all the best, Giulio

I booked both the Rome by day and Rome by night tour with Giulio. Both are fantastic. Booking was easy. Giulio's web site lets you pick the date you are interested in and then once booked sends you a confirmation email. A few days before your tour Giulio provides an email with information on where to meet and asks questions about your photography skills, type of gear you will be bringing and what you are hoping to see. Giulio is very responsive, promptly replying to emails and even phone calls. Giulio knows Rome inside and out. The best part was in addition to photographing the well known parts, coliseum, Pantheon he takes you to less famous but just as beautiful areas that are not crowded letting you take great photos. Giulio is a professional photographer that is able to impart knowledge and skills if that is what you are looking for. However, his focus is on your experience and is content to let you have your best moment as well. If you are looking for a guide to take you around Rome so that you can take great pictures Giulio and Rome Photo Fun Tours is a great value and worth your investment.

Hello John, First of all, I must apologize for not having replied earlier to your very beautiful, enthusiastic, and flattering five-star review. I truly appreciate the kind words you spent about the quality of the service I rendered, and it is important for me to know that you enjoyed every single aspect of our photo walk, from the more technical part of it to the more artsy one, from the information shared about the places visited to the human and interpersonal quality I put in my photo walks and in the relation I always try to establish with my customers. Thanks a lot also for so highly recommending my photo tours and workshops to other photography lovers traveling to Rome and other locations in Italy. As I told you during our walk if you should ever come back to Italy, by yourself or with a couple of friends also interested in photography, be aware that from December this year, I will start offering multi-day tours, in Rome and Latium, Umbria, Tuscany, and Apulia, four amazing and very photogenic regions in the center and south Italy. These tours will be fully customized holistic multiday journeys, tailored around your wishes, and time availability. If you should be interested in them, I would be more than happy to discuss the different options and itineraries together. In the meantime, thanks again for your wonderful 5-star review.
